Our Story

Our Mission

Our mission is to create and foster opportunities that support local business and build a stronger community within the Camden Haven.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be the leading body representing and supporting the Camden Haven business community through an intuitive network that provides opportunities, innovation and sustainable economic and community development.

Our Committee

Chamber members are currently represented by a volunteer Management Committee, including President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The key role of the Management Committee is to oversee the strategic management of the Chamber, setting out strategic priorities and goals, and ensuring their delivery for the benefit of its members. The Chamber employs a part-time paid Executive Officer to undertake the daily operations of the Chamber and a part-time Market Coordinate to run the Laurieton Riverwalk Market.

What We Value

  • Professionalism & Best Practice

In all areas of business the Camden Haven Chamber commits to ensuring we communicate, plan and deliver in a manner that is above standard expectations and would satisfy community and statutory scrutiny.

  • Integrity

Acting in a bipartisan manner that ensures all actions taken on behalf of, and whilst conducting business for, the Camden Haven Chamber does not place the Camden Haven Chamber in a position of disrepute. We will value the importance of every decision and action we take no matter how big or small.

  • Collaboration & Community

Camden Haven Chamber will make every effort to identify and engage key stakeholders throughout the community with a clear intent to listen, empower and provide a voice for the business and local community.

  • Leadership

The Camden Haven Chamber will strive to build trust and become a valuable member of the community by being on the forefront of key issues and presenting well researched, balanced solutions.

  • Innovation & Sustainability

To achieve leadership and collaboration the Camden Haven Chamber is prepared to be brave in seeking alternate solutions to existing challenges and is mindful that the way we engage with community and solutions we recommend are sustainable in nature.

Community Support

Supporting the community is a core value of the Camden Haven Chamber. During the 2017-2018 financial year, the Chamber re-invested $25,276 back into the community by financially supporting events and projects such as

  • King of the Mountain
  • National Violin Competition
  • Slice of Haven
  • Hastings Valley Fine Arts Summer Showcase
  • Christmas in July
  • Christmas and NYE Celebrations

The Chamber continually distributes a significant portion of its profits back into the community by the way of initialising and financially supporting several local events and projects.
