Water for Farmers Initiative
We are thrilled to hear of the Water for Farmers initiative, launched by Club North Haven this week in response to a presentation by the Camden Haven Show Society at the latest Camden Haven Tourism Marketing Co-operative networking event.
Club North Haven and Iron Jack are pleased to announce they will come together to pledge one million litres of water to drought affected farmers in the region.
Building on Iron Jack’s ‘Beers for the Bush’ initiative, which raised more than $1 million for Rural Aid in 2018, $1 from every Iron Jack and Lion beer sold between October and December 2019 at Club New Haven will go towards the initiative.
Every 300 beers sold will fund the purchase of 15,000 litres of water for drought-affected farmers within an hours radius of Port Macquarie.
The Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce fully supports this amazing community initiative and has pledge to donate one 15,000 litre tank of water to our farmers in need through this great program by Club North Haven. We’re pleased to hear First National North Haven has also pledged to donate water to farmers in partnership with Club North Haven.
