Regional Development Australia: Opportunities
The Commonwealth Government is currently calling for applications to Chair one of 46 Regional Development Australia (RDAs) Committees across Australia, except Victoria.
These positions are open for a limited time only, and we encourage all local leaders to review the opportunities now – to give yourselves as much time as possible to finalise your applications. They require highly-motivated business and community leaders with vision, drive and a passion for regional development for the volunteer role as Chair of an RDA Committee.
For those who may be unfamiliar with RDAs – they are a highly valued and respected network of volunteers and staff who drive economic development in the regions and provide critical intelligence back to the Australian Government about the key issues impacting local communities.
This is a great opportunity for people living in rural, regional and remote communities to build their leadership skills and policy influence through a locally led model.
The Australian Government is seeking to increase the diversity and quality of leadership on RDA committees, and would like more applications from women, people from Indigenous and diverse cultural backgrounds and people with a disability.
Applications close 23 November 2020.
