My Community Project Outcome
A key focus for the Camden Haven Chamber this year has been to drive and support collaboration through projects that align with our Strategic Priorities, ultimately benefiting the wider Camden Haven community. With this in mind, earlier this year we agreed to be the project sponsor for ‘Working Bees for your Community’, a project nominated and short listed for $24,000 funding as a part of the NSW Government My Community Project funding program.
Working Bees for your Community received an impressive 1,037 votes in the public voting round of My Community Project and ranked sixth out of twenty-eight projects in the Port Macquarie Electorate. Unfortunately, only $240,000 was allocated to the Port Macquarie Electorate and Working Bees for your Community was not successful on this occasion. We’d like to congratulate the three community projects which were successful in securing funding through the My Community Project. For more information on these projects, click here.
While it is disappointing Working Bees for your Community was not successful, we’re really pleased with number of votes and outcome and enthused to continue exploring collaboration opportunities.
